Bio

Hi, I’m Jeff Koo. As a senior leader in various PR agencies, I’ve consistently built high-performing teams and developed communications programs that have empowered some of the world’s most innovative tech companies to achieve their goals.

Being a native of San Francisco, the heart of Silicon Valley and tech innovation has always been integral to my life. Over the past 18 years in this industry, I’ve gained extensive expertise across multiple sectors. My experience spans consumer tech areas such as smart home devices, mobile technology, wearables, and electric vehicles. I’ve attended CES over a dozen times and helped clients secure the official “Best Of CES” award five times. I’ve also worked in fintech and B2B sectors, including AI, IoT, robotics, supply chain, and venture capital.

I’ve had the privilege to partner with clients at all stages — from early-stage startups like Dropcam to growth companies such as Shopify — and global enterprises like SAP, OnePlus, and Intel.

My work philosophy is straightforward: understand my clients deeply to support them effectively, align with their short- and long–term business objectives, and consistently consider how their story fits into the broader context of business and global events.

Before joining SHIFT, I ran my consultancy firm after gaining valuable experience at Bateman Agency, WE Communications, and Sparkpr.

How I See It

Public Relations is not a one-time endeavor; it is a continuous strategic investment in cultivating your brand's awareness, ethos, values, and integrity. In today’s world of short attention spans and relentless news cycles, maintaining relevance requires more than mere tactical efforts — you must have a narrative. While stories have defined beginnings and endings, narratives can last a lifetime.
