Annie Perkins Named Lead of Consumer & Health, Alan Dunton to Lead Tech & B2B

In a move to increase sector specialization and better support clients in engaging audiences across the entire PESO media spectrum, SHIFT made three key changes to its leadership team.

Alan Dunton, who Business Insider named a top technology PR professional in 2020, was appointed Managing Director, Technology & B2B. He’s been a driving force behind SHIFT’s Technology and B2B practices since joining in 2018, thanks to a 20+ year career advising companies ranging from HP and Autodesk to Sun Microsystems and Zynga. SVPs Amanda Munroe and Dan Brennan and VP Leslie Clavin, who lead SHIFT’s Cybersecurity, Connected Workplace and Emerging Technology specialties, all report into Alan.

Annie Perkins was named Managing Director, Consumer & Health, as well as SHIFT’s new Chief of Staff. Annie will continue to grow and advise clients in the Consumer and Health practices. She will also focus on improving and cultivating more integrated communications programs and staffing. In her practice leadership role, VPs Megan Gaffney (Consumer) and Kristin Villiotte (Healthcare) will report into Annie.

In addition, SHIFT expanded its successful Shared Services collaboration with sister agency Padilla. In 2020, SHIFT merged its creative team under the leadership of Padilla’s Chief Creative Officer, Heath Ruddock, delivering integrated campaigns for several clients including Citrix, Evite, Leslie’s Pools and Blurb. In 2021, SHIFT combined its search, social and paid media efforts with Padilla’s Engagement team. Under the leadership of Rosalie Morton, VP, Engagement, this team strategizes how businesses can optimize audience reach and engagement across the PESO media spectrum.

In total, these organizational changes support stronger sector concentration and expertise as well as enhance integrated communications capabilities to serve client needs.
