We’re excited to share that seven SHIFTers were recognized for their outstanding commitment to the Agency in 2020. These SHIFTers received awards across both SHIFT and our parent company AVENIR GLOBAL.
AVENIR GLOBAL Achievement Awards
Every year, SHIFT parent company AVENIR GLOBAL presents Achievement Awards to employees across its seven portfolio agencies. These employees, nominated by colleagues, are recognized for exceptional contributions that reinforced the Firm’s values, vision and growth.
At SHIFT, seven team members were recognized at the local agency level:
- Commitment and Collaboration Achievement Award – Jacqueline Trudeau, Coordinator, Healthcare and Stephanie Chan, Sr. Manager, Technology
- Business Development and Management Achievement Award – Sarah Babbitt, VP, Agency Marketing
- Support Services Achievement Award – Kara Armit, VP, HR
- Visionary Leadership Model Achievement Award – Brittany Joyal, Manager, Consumer
- Innovation Achievement Award – Megan Gaffney, VP, Consumer
- People Leader Achievement Award – Natalie Marinaro, VP, Technology
THE AVENIR GLOBAL Luc Beauregard Awards
This year, Megan Gaffney, Vice President, also received the Luc Beauregard Award, a global, network-wide award dedicated to the memory of AVENIR GLOBAL’s founder. It recognizes performance that truly stood out among all local nominees.
After taking on the Vice President role in January 2020, Megan quickly showed her leadership skills by helping her team members and clients navigate the pandemic. Megan collaborates across the Firm and does whatever it takes to “get it done,” producing standout campaigns for clients including Evite, Foxwoods Resort & Casino, McDonald’s and Scotties.
Beside her work contributions, Megan gives back to the community through advocacy for the National CMV Foundation, which educates women of childbearing age about Congenital Cytomegalovirus (CMV).
The SHIFT Communications Jim Joyal Award
Named in honor of SHIFT’s co-founder, the Jim Joyal Award is awarded annually to the SHIFTer who whose performance and behavior embodies the SHIFT C/A/R/E/S core values.
The inaugural award was given to Stephanie Chan for her collaborative spirit, relentless drive on behalf of clients and selflessness on behalf of the Agency and colleagues. She, notably, embodied our Courageous value when she stepped up to spearhead the SHIFT Diversity & Inclusion committee this year and became a guiding voice for the Agency on these efforts.
